Real Wedding: A + D

Last weekend we had our first wedding of the year! When it gets to the end of a wedding season, there is a definite sense of ‘what now?’ so we were buzzing to get back into it. We were heading up to one of our favourite venues - the Cow Shed Crail and, even better, our fave photographer Claire Fleck was there to catch the day on camera.

After an early start, we were on the road to Cupar to stop off at Fisher and Donaldsons bakery to pick up dessert - the smell of fudge doughnuts in the car was insane and we were all starving by the time we rocked up to Cow Shed. The couple had hired some of our favourite Little White Cow chesterfields and chairs and created the most beautiful set up! Rachel from Hedgerow had worked her magic and produced some amazing table flowers as well as bouquets and buttonholes! One of the reasons we love Cow Shed so much is because it looks so different every time we go - even if there are TLWC items in it week after week, we never get tired of seeing all of their chesterfields and armchairs. A + D had chosen grazing stations instead of the usual canape reception - this works really well at a venue like Cow Shed where there is a lot of space across different rooms, guests can grab a plate and get stuck in! We had boards filled with meats and cheeses as well as breads and dips - perfect for some informal snacks at a wedding reception.

A + D went for our buffet option for their wedding breakfast with porchetta and brisket as their two main options and a butternut squash, feta and pine nut strudel for their veggie option. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Pantry wedding if there wasn’t halloumi on the menu! In between mains and desserts, A + D had their speeches followed by a surprise birthday cake for the bride. It was so lovely being in on the surprise even if it did involve an ice fountain! Dessert was birthday cake and the fudge doughnuts from Fisher and Donaldsons (literally the BEST doughnut I’ve ever eaten.)

We had such a blast being part of A + D’s special day and it was so great to be working with some of our favourite suppliers too! Congrats again guys!
